I just need to find the time, find the time, to do what needs be done. I must find the time, find the time, and then I will be complete. How many times have I said I would do it? But I still have not done it. How many times? I'm only asking me. I think it's 103. I know that I should find the time. But there really is no time. I really must just create the time With perhaps a mallet. I think I need a mallet. And then I can... Smash the time! Crush the time! Destroy the time! That's truly how I would find the time to get all things done. That's truly how I would find the time to get all things done. And perhaps while I smash the time I could also smash other things. And perhaps while I smash the time I could smash everything! Because I just need to crush the time! Destroy the time! And smash the time! That's how you create the time that you will find! I know that not all people think the same way. There are people who twiddle and mope about. But those people, they never have time to say "Hey you should make some time! If it is what you are about!" If it's important to you then just do it! If it's important to you then make it happen! If it's important to you you should do it! There is no time other than now! There is no time other than now! (Because I've destroyed it.)

I will sing a song that I know I must do. I will sing a song! What will I sing? What will it be? I don't know! I don't know! What will it be today? I could sing about lovely butterflies. I could sing about shit as it flies. Or I, or I could sing about you. Or I, or I could sing, yes, all about you. Exploring you until I'm through. What will it be today? How do I know when I'm through? What will it be today? Will I sing of you? What will we do? And you! Oh, you. You, you, you. Am I you or are you me? What will it be? Will it be me singing songs about you? Or, instead, will it be you who sings of me? If we are one and the same who sings of whom? If we are one and the same do you sing of poo? My poo. Your poo. Deep inside us both. The gross stuff. The slimy stuff. The stuff that hurts the most. What will we sing? What of it's true? Oh, how I love you, oh, yes, you.

Lemon Juice 03:21
This song is not about a lemon biscuit! This song is not about a lemon cookie! It's not even about a yellow fish called Lemon Biscuit! It's not even about a little fish called Fi-fi-fi! This song is about a lemon, or maybe it's about just lemon juice. This song is just about a lemon, or more specifically, it's about you. You who are the juice. If your life is a lemon, then maybe, you're secretly the juice! What kind of juice are you? What kind of flavor do you leave behind? What kind of juice are you? If your life, it is a lemon. Some people think that if life gives them lemons that they will just make some lemonade. But what if you actually are the lemon, or more specifically, you are the juice it contains? Would you still make lemonade? Adding something sweet to yourself? Would you still make lemonade? Becoming something more sweet? Or would you prefer to simply remain bitter? Or would you simply prefer to make others pucker-pucker? Because when life is a lemon, you might be the lemon-juice in it. Because if you're the lemon juice, why, what sort of recipe would you be in? Personally, I really like hummus. And it sort of needs some lemon, lemon juice. Personally, I really like hummus. And I can be it's lemon juice. I will be the lemon juice, in the hummus of my life. Because if my life was a lemon I shall slice that life with a knife! And extract that good lemon juice! And deposit it in the recipe! And I shall create some hummus from my life, and it will bring my much glory! And it will be so yummy!

One. Two. Three. Four. I am laying on the floor. One. Two. Three. Four. I am singing a song. Singing a song. I would like, like to know, what to do after this song. What sort of thing will I do? What sort of thing will I know? But! How do you know? How do you see? I see deep, deep inside of me. But I keep secrets. Secrets from other parts of me! Sometimes I like to be surprised, so I don't let me see. So, now, what to do? I will stay here a while. So, now, what to do? With nothing else to do-- I will smile. Sitting here. For a while. I will smile.

I looked out my window. I found it raining, raining so hard. I looked out, out my window. And I thought, "This is, yes, a beautiful day to die." What will I kill? Will I die? Who or what might be dying inside? It's a beautiful day, a beautiful day, a beautiful day to die. What do you do when you want to change? What do you rearrange? It's a beautiful day, a beautiful day to kill that part of you that you dislike. It's a beautiful day to die. How do you go about killing things? Do you first extract them from your head? Or do you go deep inside your head to bring them a good day to die? I like to do a couple of things when I want to kill some things. I like to do, yes, many things when it's a good day to die. Some of the things they are real simple, like gather your things, all around. Know what to cut, and know what to keep, and keep those shears so sharp. You need to cut out the bits of you that serve you no, no more. Just cut them out and let them die, and parts of you will die, die, die! It's a good day to die, a good day to be reborn. A good day to be, once again, transformed. A beautiful day, a beautiful day to die and to live. So on this day, I will kill something. On this day, something will kill me. On this day, my shears will shear away something gory bright. A beautiful day to die. A beautiful day to die.

Like any other author, if you annoy me I might write you in to something. However, as a songwriter I will write you in to my song. Would you like to be disemboweled? Would you like your entrails to fall to the floor? I can make it happen in a song. I can make it happen in a song. Would you like to see the stars? Or perhaps touch a whale? Would you like to be devoured by the Whale of the Stars. I can make it happen in a song, in a song. I can make it happen in a song. So many things can happen. You might be surprised. But I can make it happen and for half the price! I can make it happen in a song, in a song. I can show you terrors, in a song, in a song. Do you want to see what happens when cars rain from the sky? Do you want to see what happens when robots, they stand by? I can make it happen in a song, in a song. I can make it happen in a song, in a song. The kittens will save us, again, you know. Once again, in a song. And do you think something real lovely, like cabbages from space, could destroy the President, in a song, it's no disgrace. So many things can wonderfully happen. Sausage can rain from the sky. And it can still be quite vegan in a song, it's never a lie! I can do this! In a song! A song! I can do that! In a song! A song! So many things will happen in a song! Please, just leave me by.

I don't know what I am. I know I'm still what I've always been. But I don't know what I am. I think I might be an artist. I used to think I used to think that I might be a writer. But now, I don't think so. Now, I don't think so. I think I am just an artist. How do you know what you are? Do you have a clue? Did you learn it from a star? Was it Beyonce who told you who you are? Or was it Kathleen Turner Jones? I don't know, exactly what to say, I thought I might be something today! But I'm just me! And that's what I say: Get used to it, because I'm here to stay. And so, I will rest. And so, I will smile. For I may be here for a while. And so, I will rest. And so, I will smile. And so I will return. And so I will return. Some people think that they will return and live another life. I don't believe that, no I don't. I will just return to this life. Changing. Changing! Changing some more! I've changed so much, and I've only just begun! Changing and changing and changing some more! I don't think I will ever stop. Because when I stop, what will be next? It's not like I'm planning to ever die. There's no need for such foolish things when I can just change again. Change and change and change some more! I will be changing when I'm sixty-four. Change and change and change again. I will be changing when I'm eighty and ten.

I don't know why, but everything makes sense in a song. I don't know why, but somehow it does. Everything makes sense in a song, song, song. Everything makes sense in a song! I don't know why, but everything makes sense in a song. Have you found that sometimes a song it really goes quite long, and sometimes it makes no sense! I have found when I sing, I find many, many things and they usually, usually make sense! How do you like your songs do you like them really long? How do you like your songs and your sense? Well, I could do without sense, but I really like my songs and that is why I'm singing. Singing for your pence, or your pennies or your coins or your money ... so I can eat? That is why I'm singing for your pence. And I find that when I sing my songs, these things they make so much sense. And I find as I sing, just sing along with songs, so many things they make sense. I can sing about so many things. Sometimes I don't even know what I'm singing! Sometimes, I can sing about so many things. And if I keep on going! I find! I find! If I keep on going, my mind opens and I see something deep inside and the song, the song makes sense. Yes, the song, the song makes sense. So, you will see, as I sing my songs, the world, it just makes sense. At least I think, as I sing the songs that the world, the world makes sense. What do I see as I sing my songs, as I sing of the world making sense? What do I see as I sing my songs, Well, I see that the world needs more songs! So I sing a song about how the world makes sense, and the world makes sense with songs. I sing songs about worlds making sense and the world it hears my song.

I have quite a lot of inspiration. Sometimes it is real cool. I have a lot of inspiration. Sometimes it's a bowl of gruel. How many things can you sing about? I think I can sing of anything. How many things can you sing about? I think my inspiration could be anything. Anything that's possible. Anything I can think of. Anything that someone's known or somehow described a little piece of. So much to sing about! So much to read! My inspiration, no doubt, could be truly anything! Anything I see with my eyes! Anything I hear with my ears! Anything I smell with my nose or taste with my tongue or feel with my fingers or maybe feel with my tongue. Because tongues are more sensative to touch than fingers. I could sing a song about that, if that's not something I've done. Or I could sing about it, even if I've already done a song like that, a song like that. I can mix them up and mash them flat. I can mix them up. I like lots of really cool songs. Really cool songs about really cool things! So I pull my inspiration from almost everything! This song here is inspired about my inspiration itself. This song here is inspired about my ability to sing. Because I can sing about anything. Anything at all and if you want me to sing about something just let me know. Because I can sing about absolutely anything.

If you haven't noticed there is nothing you can do. You don't need to bother looking or fretting. Just stop worrying! Just ignore the warnings! There's nothing you can do! There's nothing you can do! Save your breath, yes, save yourself! And save your soul before we're through. There's no need to worry. There's no need to bother. There's nothing you can do. There's nothing you can do. And if you relax, maybe you will find something positive you can do. Make a change. Yes, a change that's good for you. Focus on your community. Focus on what you can change. Focus on your friends and family. Focus on what you can do. Just stop, stop worrying about what you can't control. Just focus on what you can do. You might find, if you don't waste your strength, that there's nothing to stop you. You might find that if you don't waste your strength that you will get through. Just stop worrying. Ignore the warnings. We know that it's bad. You can relax now. There's nothing to do. At least, not now. But your moment will come and if you have the energy, if you have not given up, your time won't be through. Just relax for a while, we are not done with you! Just for a while, until you are ready. There's nothing you can do right now, but waste your energy. That won't be good for you because then you can't react when the moment comes. The moment comes that you could react. So stop right now! Just re, relax. We will will go for the jugular after a snack.

What time did you say dinner was? I know that you're cookin' something. What time did you say dinner was? I'm feeling hungry, so whenever is fine. There are people who depend on you. Maybe they're fur babies and they don't speak much. Maybe they are children, and they never shut up. But there are people who depend on you. You know exactly what you have to do. You have to feed everyone. Even if you're the only one. Take care of, at least, yourself. And maybe take care of everyone else. But remember that you must take care of you! You must not stop until you are through! Remember who you answer to! You answer to, just you! And I think that you might find something really yummy. If you look deep in to your mind it's not made of honey. But you might find something yummy! Deep in your mind is some food for thought. But you need to toss the old ones out. Deep in your mind is food for thought. And maybe toss the old ones out! You don't need the old ones! They're kind of super stinky! You don't need the old ones! They're not good for you anymore! Remember to feed yourself. At least some food for thought. Remember to feed yourself. When you're feeding everyone else. When you're feeding everyone else, do not leave yourself out, for you are so important to you.

For some of us being older means interruptions. There are so many interruptions. So many you can't count! Sometimes it's your phone! Sometimes it's your mother-in-law! Who know what will interrupt you! You don't know! You have to be aware! Watch! Watch out! You don't know! You have to be aware! Watch! Watch out! So many interruptions. Sometimes you're the interruption in your head and you don't know how to stop. Interruption here! And interruption there! But you just kind of need to slow down! Slow down! Slow down and stop! So many interruptions but you don't need so many. Slow down. Take a breather. Slow down and stop. You can leave the room. Leave that device over there. You can leave the room. They'll be okay for five minutes I swear! But you shouldn't leave them that long Because seven minutes might spell their doom! But five minutes is prob'ly alright so you can go to the bathroom. There are so many interruptions! So many I can't count! So many interruptions! And I just need to... Slow down. Slow down. Slow down and think for a little bit. Slow down. Slow down. Slow down and be. Sometimes I want to just be me. Sitting in a room just being me. Not doing anything. Not even, no, singing. Just being me. All that I can be. I can do this. Yes, I can! Even when there are so many interruptions. So many I can't count. But, I have this quiet in me. I have this peace. Deep within me.

Slowly Slowly Inch by inch. I'm growing in to a tree. Slowly Slowly Inch by inch. Little ones will take their shelter under me! It takes time to form a community. A community of everything. Slowly but surely you can grow a community, a web of friends. Lovely and beautiful friends. Grown over time. Through the seeds of friendship with some time. Over time they will grow and lots of stuff will be sometimes fun and sometimes super tough! But with your community you will find everything is easier and you can unwind. You get to have so much fun while you enjoy everyone. So enjoy your friends and have a good time. Be a lovely human all of the time. We can become a strong community. But, not if you don't care about anyone. Not if you only about yourself.

Obsession 05:19
Some people say I'm obsessed with writing songs. I think others just don't try, don't try to sing along. I'm not obsessed. I just try a little bit. And I found that I liked making songs that I like so I keep making songs. You might think I'm obsessed That I have some strange obsession. I just keep making songs. It's quite the preoccupation. I don't even really do anything with them when they're done. They just sit around and sometimes they're kind of fun. When I revisit them after long ago, after long ago and think. And I think of other songs, kind of similar and things. I think lots of things are super fun. I think I'm not the only one. I might be a little obsessed with having way, way, too much fun. Is it obsession if you like to have fun? Is it wrong to make some awesome stuff? What do you do when people point and laugh at your stuff? I know what I do. I include them in the next thing I make. And then I bring the pain and misery. In that song! In that story! And maybe an art or three! I can open them up, spill all out all of their guts. And, maybe if they see it and they recognize themselves in it they will be a little kinder to the ones that make stuff! But I don't do it for them, oh, no. I only do it for me. Because, it's fun and it makes me feel good. Don't you see? It's simple to just have some fun. Just kick your heels up and sing. We can have so much fun. Creating everything. And so, if I'm obsessed, at least I'm having fun. And, yes, I still think that it's best if I am having fun. I know you might not care, but I don't care about what you think, because you're not me. You're just some dude I met when I went for a drink! So I'll have my fun and I'll sing my songs. And so what if it's an obsession? Because I'm having so much fun.

about

While some of these songs are a bit meta, most of them lean toward the deep and philosophical.

"Folk acapella" was once heard around the world, right up until radio and the Edison cylinder taught people they weren't good singers and that they should be quietly embarrassed.

about

Mr. Beany's Bitty Band

We're a one-person band fronted by a human who self-describes as a mad artist. We invented the "crapcapella" genre, and remain a proponent, though we now support the term "folk acapella" as well. We love improvised music as well as sheet music.
