Jingle Bells 03:28
Dashing through the snow In a one-horse open sleigh O'er the fields we go Laughing all the way Bells on bobtail ring Making spirits bright What fun it is to ride and sing A sleighing song tonight! (chorus) Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way. Oh! what fun it is to ride In a one-horse open sleigh. Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way; Oh! what fun it is to ride In a one-horse open sleigh. A day or two ago I thought I'd take a ride And soon, Miss Fanny Bright Was seated by my side, The horse was lean and lank Misfortune seemed his lot He got into a drifted bank And then we got upsot. |: chorus :| A day or two ago, The story I must tell I went out on the snow, And on my back I fell; A gent was riding by In a one-horse open sleigh, He laughed as there I sprawling lie, But quickly drove away. |: chorus :| Now the ground is white Go it while you're young, Take the girls tonight and sing this sleighing song; Just get a bobtailed?bay Two forty as his speed Hitch him to an open sleigh And crack! you'll take the lead. |: chorus :|

Bark! A Reindeer voice is calling: 1. Bark! a reindeer voice is calling: 'Bark bark bark,' it seems to say. Clear off your floor and your tables, prepare the whole room to play. 2. Startled at the solemn warning, Let the weary kin arise; Santa Claus, all sloth dispelling, brings to us the darling pies. 3. Lo! the Elf, so long expected, Comes with presents from the north; Let us haste, with food so thankful, thanking him for boons set forth. 4. So when next he comes to chimney, Bringing gifts from far and near, May he then as our great hero enjoy cookies, milk and beer. 5. Honour, glory, virtue, merit, To the Elves and every one, With the co-eternal Reindeer, Eating cookies, having fun.

1. Fearfully, timidly, now do we raise, Our voices to bless Thee, to Thank Thee and praise. This our poor carol, uncertain with fear, 'Mid barks of Thine Reindeer, please listen and hear. 2. We plead for the children, Thy mercy we seek, For those who have left Thee, fainthearted and weak, O give us more patience, more hope, and less lorn, To hold fast Thy promise of presents at morn. 3. By thy blessed descending, and glorious girth, thy sorrows and suffering, thy life upon earth, By thy parting words, "To All a Good Night" Thy dwelling up north and reindeer with nose bright; 4. We pray Thee to hear us, to pardon and save, strike us from the naughty list, please canst Thou waive. My house is in sorrow, in danger and fear -- O stretch for Thy hand, for the breakers are near. 5. Once more send the message the old man heard then -- Be peace on the earth, and good will unto men. May a red nose shine o'er us, a reindeer not gin, A new era dawning from sorrow to grin.

1. O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree, Thy leaves are green forever. O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree, Thy beauty leaves thee never. Thy leaves are green in summer’s prime, Thy leaves are green at Christmas time. O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, Thy leaves are green forever. 2. O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, Much pleasure doth thou bring me! O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, Much pleasure doth thou bring me! For every year the Christmas tree, Brings to us all both joy and glee. O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, Much pleasure doth thou bring me! 3. O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree, O evergreen unchanging. A symbol of good will and love, You’ll ever be unchanging. Each shining light, each silver bell, No other sight spreads cheer so well. O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, You’ll ever be unchanging. 4. O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree! How are thy leaves so verdant! O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, How are thy leaves so verdant! Not only in the summertime, But even in winter is thy prime. O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, How are thy leaves so verdant!

about

The songs on this album are instrumental, secular, or explicitly focused upon Santa Claus. Suitable for use in all households!

The goal was to make a album with mostly new lyrics for traditional songs. (Specifically, I wanted to add more Santa Claus to Christmas songs.) Time got away from me, and I wound up needing to make up time by creating instrumental versions of traditional songs.

Songs with lyrics include: "Jingle Bells" (traditional, secular); "Bark, A Reindeer Voice is Calling" (new, Santa Claus); "Fearfully, timidly" (new, Santa Claus), "O Christmas Tree" (traditional, only the tree verses)

about

Mr. Beany's Bitty Band

We're a one-person band fronted by a human who self-describes as a mad artist. We invented the "crapcapella" genre, and remain a proponent, though we now support the term "folk acapella" as well. We love improvised music as well as sheet music.
