1. Bark! a reindeer voice is calling:
'Bark bark bark,' it seems to say.
Clear off your floor and your tables,
prepare the whole room to play.

2. Startled at the solemn warning,
Let the weary kin arise;
Santa Claus, all sloth dispelling,
brings to us the darling pies.

3. Lo! the Elf, so long expected,
Comes with presents from the north;
Let us haste, with food so thankful,
thanking him for boons set forth.
