about

This track is based upon a lesser known Frank Herbert novel. While "Sin and Sentience" is based upon a novel I've seen in reprint and is affiliated with a well-liked series, this one was a one-off and I only found it because of a used book store.

lyrics

A verdant world ruled by green
Nature's brain
Harmony and peace achieved
Nature's brain
To each a role, each a part
Nature's brain
What science lacks, here perceived
Nature's brain

We come to bring humanity,
but we bring more it seems.
Regardless of the need or cost
we bring towns, roads and things.

The verdant world ruled by green
Nature's brain
Sensing the danger man brings
Nature's brain
Man unbound, his place unwound
Nature's brain
Will we listen as she sings?
Nature's brain

Our old world now boxed and boarded,
ordered ecologies.
We abandoned the untidy.
Never knowing what lost.

How long until the green ends?
Or can we live in peace?
Can we take our place,
guided by the kind verdant
green brain of nature.

A verdant world ruled by green
Nature's brain
Harmony and peace achieved
Nature's brain
To each a role, each a part
Nature's brain
What science lacks, here perceived
Nature's brain

about

Mr. Beany's Bitty Band

We're a one-person band fronted by a human who self-describes as a mad artist. We invented the "crapcapella" genre, and remain a proponent, though we now support the term "folk acapella" as well. We love improvised music as well as sheet music.
