about

Based upon an old song by the same name.

lyrics

1. Fearfully, timidly, now do we raise,
Our voices to bless Thee, to Thank Thee and praise.
This our poor carol, uncertain with fear,
'Mid barks of Thine Reindeer, please listen and hear.

2. We plead for the children, Thy mercy we seek,
For those who have left Thee, fainthearted and weak,
O give us more patience, more hope, and less lorn,
To hold fast Thy promise of presents at morn.

3. By thy blessed descending, and glorious girth,
thy sorrows and suffering, thy life upon earth,
By thy parting words, "To All a Good Night"
Thy dwelling up north and reindeer with nose bright;

4. We pray Thee to hear us, to pardon and save,
strike us from the naughty list, please canst Thou waive.
My house is in sorrow, in danger and fear --
O stretch for Thy hand, for the breakers are near.

5. Once more send the message the old man heard then --
Be peace on the earth, and good will unto men.
May a red nose shine o'er us, a reindeer not gin,
A new era dawning from sorrow to grin.

about

Mr. Beany's Bitty Band

We're a one-person band fronted by a human who self-describes as a mad artist. We invented the "crapcapella" genre, and remain a proponent, though we now support the term "folk acapella" as well. We love improvised music as well as sheet music.
